Kids’ Chance of Washington is a charitable, nonprofit organization that was started through the cooperative efforts of Washington State labor and business organizations specifically to help families who have been impacted either by a death while working on the job or a catastrophic injury that keeps a worker from returning to work. These circumstances take a huge emotional and financial toll on families. Kids’ Chance mission is to provide scholarships to the children and spouses of workers who have been impacted by such a catastrophic event – injury or death. Kids’ Chance commitment is to make a difference by helping these children and spouses pursue and achieve their educational goals. The scholarships are funded through donations from labor, business, employers, attorneys, and individuals who care. With the effects of COVID-19 and resultant job loss, these families need our help now more than ever, and Kids’ Chance needs you now more than ever. Given the inability to hold its in-person fundraiser this year, Kids’ Chance is hosting a virtual 5K run and walk in October.
