Dorothy MacEachern
Epidemiologist, Spokane Regional Health Dist
Dorothy MacEachern holds a B.S. in Nutrition and Masters’ degrees in Epidemiology and Public Health Nutrition. Dorothy served as an epidemiologist at the Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD) for 17 years, focusing on foodborne, waterborne and vector borne diseases, as well as outbreaks of other conditions. She was the co-developer of an on-going outreach program to all medical facilities in Spokane County in 2001. Since early 2016, Dorothy has conducted more than 70 Infection Control assessments in Washington and Idaho, focusing on Long-Term Care Facilities and Critical Access Hospitals. She earned her certification in Infection Control in September 2016.
