Gretchen Stewart, MHE CAPS, SEE with Region 10 Children’s Environmental Health Gretchen Stewart is a Senior Environmental Employee employed in Children’s Environmental Health, Air Quality and Clean Green and Healthy Schools at US Environmental Protection Agency in the Region 10 office (serving Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington). Gretchen Stewart provides 40 years of successful education management, marketing and entrepreneurial business expertise. As a consultant and contractor, Gretchen works with government agencies and private businesses to launch and market new environmental business models with a strong commitment to increased public awareness, environmental stewardship and bottom-line sensitivity. She holds a special passion, and skill, for providing strategic oversight and facilitation in negotiating and executing change management. Gretchen facilitates with a solid set of tools to enhance value for all stakeholders. With dozens of public events in her portfolio, her love of engaging and working with community and business leaders, instruction professionals and volunteers has now turned green and is devoted to protecting the health of our children. Currently she is applying her business acumen by utilizing education as a conduit to increased environmental awareness to build healthy homes, schools and a toxic free future for children. Currently under contract with EPA in Children’s Environmental Health she considers herself “a student for life” and recently achieved certifications as a Master Home Environmentalist (MHE), Green Building Technology (CGP) Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and holds several Healthy Homes (NCHH). Prior, as Director of Education at MBA University, she managed a wide variety of education and certification programs. As a public speaker and trainer, Gretchen is dedicated to fostering strong collaborative partnerships that reflect healthy vibrant organizations and communities.
