Chief of Police, Tukwila Police Department
Bruce Linton currently serves as the Chief of Police for the Tukwila Police Department. The Tukwila Police Department is one of the earliest integrators of UAS technology in Law Enforcement within Washington State. His agency UAS FAA Remote Pilots have been performing Traffic Accident Reconstruction, Crime Scene Mapping, Search and Rescue and Critical Incident Response since May 2017. Tukwila, WA is overlaid by some of the most complex airspace in the state and country; therefore, a robust Aviation Safety program is necessary to provide a deep understanding of airspace and overall UAS safety necessary for the successful integration into the National Airspace System (NAS). Chief Linton Instructs the FAA Part 107 Course at the Criminal Justice Training Commission in support of First Responders seeking to acquire their FAA Remote Pilot Certificates. As a retired U.S Army Master Aviator and a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Bachelor of Science - Aeronautical Studies) he presents with over 36 Years of aviation experience. He holds FAA Certificates for Commercial Fixed Wing and Helicopter with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings. He also holds an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.
