Regional Safety Specialist, Lakeside Industries

Mike Shute is a Safety and Health Specialist for Lakeside Industries, Inc. in Issaquah, WA.  Mike joined Lakeside in 2011.  Mike has over 20 years of industrial operations and production work experience. This experience includes trucking, logging, mill work, and construction. His construction experience was concentrated in residential home building, asphalt plant maintenance, and asphalt paving.   While working in field operations Mike was a safety advocate and champion.  After being selected as the Master of Ceremonies for the company’s 55th Annual Safety Awards Program in 2016, Mike joined the Risk Management and Safety Department. He became a Safety and Health Specialist in July 2016.  Mike wanted to use his work skills and life experience for the betterment of the workers in the field.  Mike is known for bringing practical solutions to complex problems experienced in the field.  Mike’s greatest successes have come when he bridges the gaps between safety theory and reality.
