Marissa Baker
Assistant Professor, University of Washington
Trained in occupational health and hygiene, Dr. Baker studies how work impacts both physical and mental health. She works with a variety of different occupational cohorts including maritime transportation, construction, primary metals manufacturing, bus drivers, EMTs, and gig workers to determine their health and safety needs, what exposures they face at work, and how to best protect their health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Baker became especially interested in the mental health of workers, and meaningful steps workplaces can take to improve worker mental health.
