Abigail Potter
Director of Safety and Compliance, Washington Trucking Associations
Abigail S. Potter is the Director of Safety and Compliance at the Washington Trucking Associations, based in Olympia. In that role, she serves as the Association’s trucking industry policy and regulatory compliance expert working to educate, promote, and defend the interests of WTA’s members. Prior to joining WTA in 2021, Abigail worked for the American Trucking Associations for 14 years in the Policy and Regulatory Affairs Department, acting as ATA’s issue expert on trucking industry drug and alcohol regulations, commercial driver licensing, federal commercial driver medical qualifications, occupational safety and health, and distractive driving. Additionally, Abigail worked in the U.S. Senate for former Ohio Senators George Voinovich and, current Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. Abigail graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a degree in Political Science and Russian Area Studies.
